On June 21st, the Kew Beach class went on a field trip to the wonderful new Biidaasige Park and walked along the Lassonde Art Trail guided by our class member, sculptor Kara Hamilton. Kara told us the story of the park’s creation and of her creation – a sculpture installation that stands beside the trail. (The horns were discards from the Toronto District School Board)

And there, in the fresh breeze and birdsong we did our final tai chi set.

The park is where the Don River flows through a natural landscape into Lake Ontario. Kara helped tell the story of the park and the trail in this CBC article.
